For those of you have been to La Madeleine, I almost always get the strawberries with Romanoff sauce and it is absolutely TO DIE FOR! So I looked up a recipe from Food.com, and I made a few changes, so here is my version:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla rum
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons sugar
strawberries to dip
Directions:
1. In a bowl, mix together sour cream, brown sugar, and vanilla rum thoroughly.
2. In a small separate bowl, beat whipping cream until thick, then add sugar and stir.
3. Add whipping cream mixture to sour cream mixture until fully incorporated.
4. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator until ready to eat.
Suggestions:
-I added a little more brown sugar, to taste because I could taste too much sour cream.
-It tastes better once you let it sit in the fridge for a day, but I personally, couldn't help but to taste it right away!
-Also goes great with apples!
